	OPTARS? This is not a word often heard spoken on Main Street or Broadway. It is a word derived from the Arabic language, and rather loosely translated, it means PICTURE. This word is used to describe an innerbody of the El Jebel Shrine, a group of Nobles and their Ladies, interested in photography, and the practice of taking, and sharing, good pictures. More...

Meeting Description	We have two types of meetings: Dinner presentations: Social time is 6:00 pm and dinner is served about 6:30 pm. A short business meeting and comments from the Divan Rep happen before the break. A question and answer session can happen during the break while the program is being set up. We conclude our evening with a great presentation from one of the members. Training meetings: This is a new venue for us, formal training sessions. They are designed to teach participants about doing great photography, starting with the camera basics and building from there. We will always meet in the Shrine West room for these. These are open to everyone; some may involve a slight cost for materials. Even if you don’t want to join us for the training you are welcome to come for the social time and dinner, still at 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm. All meetings require reservations. If you are not an Optars member, please call Wendell Martin 303-989-4482 to make reservations. We will accomplish all this, and you will be on your way home around 9:30.
